Nothing prepares you for the jaw dropping landscape of Switzerland. You are transported into your own snow globe, or secret portal. Its natural beauty and blue waters don’t seem real. It takes me 24 hours for my surroundings to sink in. My holiday photos look as though I am stood in front of a green screen. As one of the most breathtaking places I have visited, it is the place I tell everyone:
“if you go to one place, make it Switzerland. You have to see it to believe it”.
Whilst it is well known Switzerland is expensive, it shouldn’t put you off. It’s as easy to enjoy this beautiful country on a budget, as it is to burn holes in your pocket. Either way it is a destination I am sure you won’t regret.

Coming back for a second time, gave us the chance to revisit a place we didn’t quite finish in Giessbach, as well as explore somewhere new in Grindelwald.
If you love the outdoors, a killer view, and being treated like a princess (I mean who doesn’t), then this holiday is for you.
Despite going more high end this time, there are still deals to be done, tips to be shared. Which I share all of in this blog.
